Xinergistix also remains aware of the wider community needs that originate from its employees and regularly sponsor social development and events.

The Company is managed proactively by a combination of shareowner executive directors, independent executive directors and independent non-executive directors.

Xinergistix subscribes to the principles of Good Corporate Governance recommendations and prides itself on ethical and transparent interactions with all its stakeholders.

The following appointments have been made:

Franklin Sonn - BA (Hons), HdipED, Honorary Doctor

Non-executive chairman

Dr Sonn was appointed to the board of directors of Xinergistix in November 2006. Former rector of Peninsula Technikon for 17 years and appointed democratic South Africa´s first Ambassador to the United States from 1995 to 1998. He serves on the boards of various companies and was appointed Chancellor of the University of the Free State in 2002. He serves as trustee and Patron to numerous other organizations of civil society.

Francois Pieters

Executive director

Francois is a founder director of Xinergistix. He participated in the formation of Xinergistix as owner of two of the amalgamated companies and by being associated with a number of vendor transport companies. Francois is the Managing Director of Xinergistix

Bernard Frick

Executive director: Operations

Bernard is an Executive Director of Xinergistix LTD and was appointed in July 2009 as Operations Director of Xinergistix Management Services (PTY)LTD. He completed his diploma in Transport in 1992 and has 28 years experience in transport.

Cornelis Amoraal - B.Com, Hons, CA (SA)

Executive director: Finance

Cornelis is an executive director of Xinergistix Ltd and was appointed in October 2009 as financial director of Xinergistix Management Services (Pty) Ltd. He completed his articles with Deloitte and worked as financial manager of Afgri Foods Division and as general manager of Agriplas, a subsidiary of Kaap Agri Ltd until he joined Xinergistix in 2009.

Philip Roux

Non-executive director

Philip is the Group Logistics Executive for Steinhoff Africa. Philip joined PG Bison Ltd in 2002 and was elected to the PG Bison board in November 2002. He has more than 11 years of experience in logistics and supply chain. He also serves as a non-executive director on the board of Xinergistix Ltd.

Joe Fourie - B.Com CA (SA), CA (NAM)

Non-executive director

Joe has been associated with Xinergistix as a general advisor and counsel since its formation. Joe contributes to various corporate governance committees. He is the Managing Director of Western National Insurance Company Ltd.

Frans Olivier – B.Com, Hons, CA (SA)

Non-executive director

Frans is the Group Financial Executive for PG Bison. Frans joined the Steinhoff Africa Group 4 years ago. He was elected to the Xinergistix board in 2010.
