BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

In 2002 Xinergistix implemented a very successful owner-driver program which annually enabled a minimum of 5 drivers to become owner-drivers. This has grown to 20% of annual turnover.

Xinergistix, together with financial institutions, commercial vehicle manufacturers and Willbrink Outsourced CC provide a program of support, guidance and development around the individual owner-drivers, whereby previous weekly wage-earning employees are given the opportunity to develop as entrepreneurs and to build up a capital base over a four to five-year period.

Agreements that have been approved by the stakeholders above, and advisors of owner-drivers, govern all relationships and provide a legal framework for all stakeholders.

The success of the program is based on high levels of productivity that stems from a genuine pride and sense of ownership. In addition, the decision of our customers to use Xinergistix as their preferred transport provider, supported and helped us to grow our owner driver empowerment initiative. Xinergistix strives to provide an environment for the overall support of the owner-drivers at all levels of operation and risk management.
